How It All Started
Innovate Now Inc. was founded in 2010 in Cambridge, Ontario, with a simple idea: small and mid-sized businesses deserve the same caliber of IT support and software development that large enterprises take for granted, without the overhead of building an entire technology department in-house.
What started as an independent consulting practice quickly grew into a full-service IT solutions provider. Over twelve years as an independent consultant, our founder served manufacturing, logistics, nutraceutical, and compliance-driven clients across Ontario, acting as their outsourced technology department. From ERP implementations and custom software builds to infrastructure modernization and cybersecurity, every engagement was driven by one principle: understand the business first, then build the technology to fit.

Enterprise technology projects don't fail by accident. The patterns are consistent: unclear requirements, late architectural decisions, and leadership that leans too heavily toward either business or technology, but not both. Someone who can run a discovery session with operations and finance in the morning, review a database schema in the afternoon, and present a clear delivery roadmap by the end of the week is not common. That has been the focus of Tufail's work for the past 20 years: stabilizing complex enterprise environments, bringing them to production readiness, and keeping them there.
His work sits where business strategy meets technical execution. He leads ERP implementations, cloud migrations, and broader transformation programs with clear governance, structured delivery, and financial discipline, so projects stay on track, stay within budget, and deliver measurable results once live. He manages the full lifecycle, from discovery and architecture through integration, data governance, and post-go-live stabilization.
He has designed and delivered enterprise platforms across supply chain, procurement, inventory, order management, finance, and CRM, with a focus on systems that perform under real operational load, not just in controlled scenarios. Security is built into every environment from the start: zero trust architecture, firewall hardening, endpoint detection and response, Microsoft 365 and identity security, vulnerability management, and incident response, aligned with frameworks such as NIST and PIPEDA requirements.
He also acts as a fractional IT Director and senior technical resource for small to mid-sized businesses across Southern Ontario. This provides organizations with senior-level infrastructure oversight, escalation support, vendor management, and strategic direction without the cost of maintaining a full internal IT department. He takes ownership of IT strategy, vendor governance, risk management, and operational resilience, leading across infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud, networking, and application development while keeping alignment between business stakeholders, internal teams, and delivery partners.
